I have to tell you that when we made the ice bunting, I thought people were going to think I was a total weirdo. And while they probably do, they also apparently really enjoyed the ice bunting! I'm excited and flattered to say that I've now lost track of all the places it's been featured. That page has now been viewed 5,000 times, far more than any other page on this blog.
Many people have been kind enough to email me, leave a comment, or link to me when they tried their own version, and I've now seen many fun and beautiful interpretations. I'm very excited to share some of those with you tonight. So here, in no particular order, are the ice buntings:
Greeniezona's Ice Bunting:

The Enchanted Tree's Hanging Ice Hearts (Inspired by the Ice Bunting):

Angela's Ice Bunting:
Gretchen's Tree Ornaments (also inspired by the Ice Bunting):
Ella-Bean and Co.'s Vertical Ice Bunting:
Regan's Ice Bunting:
Bright Life in Nebraska's Ice Bunting:
And Baby Makes Four's Ice Bunting:
Tabatha's Ice Bunting:Many, many thanks to all of you who tried this idea and made the effort to share the results with me! If you've made an ice bunting, or something inspired by it, and you'd like it featured, message me or comment and I'll add it to the list.

Your family's bunting was so beautiful and so inspiring. It is wonderful to see how others have interpreted this special activity. Great round up.
These are fantastic! I love the hearts. We need to do this, before spring actually arrives (which it WILL someday, right?
Ugh, MaryAnne, I hope so! I am BEYOND ready, and it's not looking like it's coming anytime soon to Montreal :(.
Jaimie...I LOVE this idea too!! We were going to do it when we went up north, but I forgot to pack the food coloring!!! (jeez!). But, it is still a plan of ours! I get soo many ideas from you! Good work!
I just sent you pics (bad ones from my phone) of ours... we just used ice cube trays because we had a thaw when we tried it..next year though i love the idea of shapes!
That is so cool! I'll definitely have to try to make one next year (it's actually still cold enough, but not sure if I have enough winter-love left in my soul celebrate!)
