Tonight, first time using chopsticks. It went like this: she picked them up with one hand, reached down, secured some food, and ate. Just like that, in about fifteen seconds. I didn't show her how. Why do I feel like it took me years to learn?
Mary--I wish I could agree...but I learned as an adult! This is kind of embarassing, but I actually printed out illustrated instructions online when I was maybe in my mid-twenties and taught myself from them. Yes, I am a huge dork.
Rachel--I totally agree. Another mama friend and I were talking a few weeks ago about how eating with chopsticks forces you to slow down. I should try to have us do it at home more often.

LOL, kids are always like that, it's great! Happy weekend.
I feel the same. But in truth, it probably didn't take us any longer to learn when we were young:)

A natural! My kids just sword-fight with them.
Eating is so much more fun (and slow) with chopsticks! My 6 year old is trying desperately to master chopsticks.
